The data on the website of the Ministry of Finance provided the average monthly salaries of "employees replacing government posts", except for the security forces. The departments of this category include only the ministers themselves.
In 2016, the largest salary among ministers, 1.7 million rubles a month, was received by the head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov. The Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin (1.3 million) and Minister of Energy Alexander Novak (1.2 million) were followed by him. This is about 11-13 times higher than the average salary of an employee of the department. The head of the Ministry of Construction Mikhail (443 thousand rubles a month) and the head of the Ministry of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev (451 thousand) were the least of all salaries.
