The presidential administration prepared several proposals for the regional authorities to increase the appearance in the presidential election on March 18. This was reported by RBC with reference to its own sources.

One of the projects is “Photos in the elections”, a competition of pictures whose winners will receive prizes. To participate in the competition, it is necessary to take a selfie at polling stations and put them on social networks. The presentation of the competition sent to the regions says that its goal is to "mobilize voters of 18-39 years", as well as "create a positive background and atmosphere of the holiday in the areas."

The document describes in detail the actions of the organization of the competition, which will need to be reported to the federal center. For popularization of the “photos in the elections” it is proposed to attract as participants in “Star Voters”: popular actors, musicians, athletes, politicians, popular bloggers, famous comedians and KVN participants. As prizes, as expected, the iPhone and iPad will be awarded, two RBC sources close to the Kremlin told. According to them, the regions will need to look for funds for the organization of the event and the purchase of prizes.

The “Photos in the Elections” campaign was already held in seven cities as a pilot project aimed at raising the turnout in the governor's elections in September 2017.

The regions also offer the project "Big Family Games". It involves holding competitions for parents who came to polling stations with children. Another promotion "Carefance", testing children on their inclinations and abilities, the agency’s source said. In addition, the regions are offered to organize "school referendums." They will not have legal force, but will reveal the opinion of parents on certain problems of schools.
