
In Moscow, at the 82nd year of life, People's Artist of the RSFSR Mikhail Derzhavin died. This was reported by the Moscow Academic Satire Theater.
In recent years, Derzhavin suffered from coronary heart disease. In early summer last year, the artist had a heart attack. For a long time he was in the hospital.
Derzhavin was born on June 15, 1936 in Moscow in the family of one of the leading actors of the Vakhtangov Theater Mikhail Derzhavin. In 1959, Derzhavin Jr. graduated from the Schukin Theater School.
Derzhavin served in the Moscow Theater named after the Lenin Komsomol and in the theater on Malaya Bronnaya. Since 1967, the artist worked in the Satire Theater.
Derzhavin gained fame after the main role of the Bobus in the play "Dangerous Age" (Lenkom, 1960). Among the performances with his participation "Bath", "Orders of Miracle", "Examiner", "Woe from Wit", "Lucky - Nesstlivtsy." In the movie, Derzhavin played about 30 roles, including in the films "Three in the boat, not counting the dog", "Babnik", "My sailor", "Old nags".
Derzhavin is also known for his work on television. In 1967-1980, the artist played the role of Pan of the presenter in the popular program “The Krukak” 13 chairs. Derzhavin, along with his friend and pop numbers, Alexander Shirvindt, conducted the Morning Mail programs and “I want to know”.
