FAS allowed mobile operators to extend the duration of the roaming

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia extended the execution of the order on intra -meter roaming for the "Big Three" operators until January 31. Until May 31 of this year, the term was extended for the Tele2 operator, RIA Novosti reports.

Previously, the FAS warned that she could withdraw from operators unreasonable income from roaming. The previous period of the warning ended on December 15.

In July 2017, recall, the FAS ordered the operators to eliminate the difference in tariffs in the home region and when traveling around Russia. The companies were supposed to execute service warnings until August 10-13 or motivate a refusal. In August, the FAS instituted antimonopoly affairs against four operators.

At the end of December, the head of the Ministry of Communications of Russia, Nikolai Nikiforov, said that roaming within Russia will be canceled in the first half of 2018. He also argued that Russian mobile operators began to abolish roaming in the regions.

The head of the FAS Igor Artemyev also promised that the cost of communication for Russians will not rise in price after the abolition of intra -network roaming, and the authorities will help operators compensate for the losses, allowing to expand their business.
