On January 15, Viktor Anpilov, a politician and one of the founders of the Labor Russia movement, died. Alexander Averin, co-chairman of the Other Russia movement, told Meduza about this. A little earlier, a record about this appeared on Averin's Facebook page.
Also, the death of Anpilov TASS was confirmed by the ex-deputy of the State Duma Daria Mitina. According to her, on January 13, on the way to a meeting with the presidential candidate from the Communist Party Pavel Grudinin, Anpilov suffered a massive stroke, after which he fell into a coma and died two days later.
The message about the death of Viktor Anpilov was also published on his own Facebook page. The recording is accompanied by lines in Spanish from the song "Mother of the Lamb" by Chilean artist Tito Fernandez. Anpilov was fluent in Spanish and was fond of Latin American song poetry.
