Who and how helped the happy ending of the story of the 78-year-old Nella Stepanovna Chevtaeva, the heroine of our report "Grandma in Svugroba"

On the night of December 19-20 last year, an elderly woman with traces of terrible beatings and with a loss of memory was found on the street of Domodedov. Subsequently, it turned out that she flew from Uzbekistan to her son to Belarus with a transplant in Russia, where an attack was made on her.

The woman was the 78-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan Nella Stepanovna Chevtaeva. Nella Stepanovna’s memoirs were confused, she was sure that in the yard was 1984, and attacked her when she was going home from work. Fortunately, the fate of the elderly woman was in the hands of the Lisa Alert volunteer Tatyana, who found Nella Stepanovna's relatives through VKontakte and fought for the rights of an elderly woman at first in the police - where they did not want to accept a statement and investigate the attack, then in hospitals - where they did not want to treat a woman without a policy and documents. Tatyana also wanted to restore the documents of Nella Stepanovna, so that she could finish her way to her new house in Belarus.

Who helped

After the story caused a resonance in the media, many people took part in the fate of an elderly woman. The indifference of individuals and public opinion did their job: Domodedovo Airport let the notes from his video cameras; The psychiatric hospital, which was determined by Nell Stepanovna, stopped demanding money for her treatment and threatening with “eviction”; And most importantly, the Embassy of Uzbekistan, where it was previously argued that it was possible to restore documents only by returning to Bukhara - as soon as possible, issued documents to Nelle Stepanovna. Last night, January 14, she finally sat on a train to Minsk and went home with her son Andrei.

Volunteers of Lisa Alerta Tatyana and Konstantin came to see Nell Stepanovna. Having taken her out of the hospital, and Andrei from the hostel, they arrived at the Belorussky station a little ahead of time - to have time to please the forced guests of the capital of coffee with cakes. Sitting in a cafe, they all together told how the story developed after publicity in the media.

First of all, publicity affected the Embassy of Uzbekistan. Recall that their original verdict was almost the deportation of Nella Stepanovna to their homeland, to Bukhara. But their opinion changed: the consul contacted Tatyana and suggested as soon as possible to restore the documents of Nella Stepanovna by the forces of the embassy - without deportation, queues and ordeals between countries. “I am sitting, suddenly the consul calls me and says, they say, let's go more and do everything you need, I’ll come for you now,” Tatyana recalls. From work, however, the consul was distracted by the consul, I had to urgently transfer the affairs the next day and change the schedule in a matter of minutes. But Tatyana admits that she was pleased that the consul “called from the personal number, arrived on a personal car and drove Tatyana and Andrei to Nella Stepanovna to the hospital. There they filled out the questionnaire, and after a week the documents were already ready. “Everyone told us that they had never restored the documents so quickly in the history of the Uzbek embassy - there is also one confirmation of the personality how much time takes, but they believed us a word! However, they still had to pay 160 dollars. But, they say, they usually pay more for this! " - says Andrey.

Tatyana also notes that the deputy head of the administration Domodedova Irina Konstantinovna Volkodaeva immediately very personally took the story of “Grandmother Nella” and was eager to help: with money, connections, and searching for housing for Andrei for a while that Nella Stepanovna in the hospital. “She calls me somehow and says that she found, where to determine Andrei to live for free. And so joyful reports: to the orphanage! They found a bed somewhere in a hospital in a local orphanage. I had to politely refuse, she wanted the best. And I did not explain the reasons for the refusal, ”Tatyana laughs.

They did not take the money

The psychiatric hospital, in which Nella Stepanovna lay all this time, also managed to influence - they stopped demanding money. The emergence of volunteers, journalists and representatives of the embassy did its job: the whole hospital knew that Nella Stepanovna had a special guest. “At first, a new doctor appeared there, who, apparently, was not aware that our grandmother is a star,” Tatyana smiles. - I approached us with the question if we would not want to pay for our grandmother’s stay in the hospital. So even the nurses embarrassed him, they say, do not touch these! ” However, the hospital was so intimidated that she decided not to take responsibility for a special patient in principle. According to Tatyana, they even refused to describe the condition of Nella Stepanovna in a nutshell, which was necessary at least in order to understand whether it is safe to take her from the hospital.

“You know, the hospital is very scary,” Nella Stepanovna suddenly said quietly. “They all thought, I'm crazy, but I just forgot a little as I got to the hospital.” "But you know who was lying next to me?" - the woman whispers and twists a finger at the temple. The last night in the hospital Nella Stepanovna was not allowed to sleep by another patient: she screamed, tearing her clothes and fought against the walls. “I threatened her with a finger and said that she would receive from me if she would behave badly! She calmed down. In general, I put things in order, ”Nella Stepanovna is proud of.

Her memories of the attack are still not distinct: the versions of the incident changed one after another. For example, TD she said like this: “The ISIS have attacked me, well, you know, there is such a nation - ISIS (in fact, the IG is a terrorist organization banned in Russia. - Note ), here they are black, and flew up.” Recall that the previous version of Nella Stepanovna was that she was attacked by the people whom she met on an airplane. However, one detail in her story remains unchanged: several people threw her to the ground and beat her with their feet for a long time. This is also confirmed by injuries. “Here, touch my bump,” says Nella Stepanovna. “As if another head was growing.”

Who did not want to help

Only one participants in this story did not manage to influence. The police, whose actions or inaction are hidden by the secret investigation, did not meet, refusing to provide at least some All possible help. So, for example, Andrei tried to receive a certificate of attack on his mother in the police department in order to go to the airport with this certificate and pick up the baggage of Nella Stepanovna. The police told him that they did not have time for certificates. They were able to get bags only because Andrei recognized the airport because they “read about it on the Internet”. He was given luggage.

The police, because of which he was previously almost evicted from the hostel, Andrei is almost philosophically and does not hope to capture the attackers at his mother: “They will not even look for it. But the other day a funny story happened with me: I bought a bun and stand on the street EM. Suddenly a policeman comes up and says to stop eating - I violate, they say, the law. And I took it and ate it right in his eyes. Arrest, I say. He was silent and left. Here is such a struggle against crime, ”Andrei laughs. "And if they put a lot of money to them, they begin to work right away!" - Nella Stepanovna unexpectedly inserted.

"Go to sleep, bugs"

However, all the thoughts of the Chevtaev family are already busy with how they will live when they finally get home. Andrei rejoices that a new apartment awaits them and that his mother was restored by the documents: “At least she will not be a homeless person there, I will issue her a residence permit, I can at least call her an ambulance normally! A full -fledged citizen will be. ” And suddenly he thinks:

- It is strange that we were helped by absolutely strangers from another country. My friends did not help, even those who are richer to me: who has enough farms to buy a whole tractor and even have a calf.

- Now we’ll come home, we will buy chickens ourselves. And the cow, ”Nella Stepanovna reassures her son.

“Yes, mothers, and their apartment,” Andrei sighs.

And then the moment of landing on the train has come.

- Here is a bag with food, there are clothes, and here you have gifts for the New Year, remember? The scarves are beautiful, ”Tatyana fussed.

- I will not pay with you in my whole life for that! - Nella Stepanovna got nervous.

“Mom, there are still people who sincerely do good to us,” Andrei smiled.

Such a custody of Nella Stepanovna is clearly a curiosity, she could not come to terms even with the fact that someone paid for her in a cafe. And the fact that volunteers Konstantin and Tatyana carried her heavy bags for her, simply drove Nell Stepanovna crazy: “Well, that's enough, bugs, go home to sleep!” - the pensioner continued to grumble. In the compartment, Chevtaevs said goodbye to the volunteers of Lisa Alert. “Be sure to call when you get, do not disappear anywhere. However, we will find you anyway, you already know, ”Tatyana smiled goodbye. The train started. By morning, Nella Stepanovna was at home.
