The administration of Samara did not begin to coordinate the rally "return of benefits to pensioners", which was supposed to take place on January 27 in the city center, referring to the opinion of the library management. This was reported by MBH Media with reference to its own correspondent.
The organizer of the Samara Provincial Duma deputy from the Communist Party Mikhail Matveev said that he offered two different sites: a place near the Palace of Culture or a site next to the regional scientific library. The mayor's office stated in its response that the place near the Palace of Culture was already occupied by the sports festival. At the same time, a rally cannot be held near the library, because "its leadership has a negative attitude towards holding public actions."
As an alternative, the administration of Samara offered to hold a rally in Rodina Square, which is located on the outskirts of the city.
The mayor's office appealed in court.
