Sasha passed through three hospitals and survived only because there were people who were needed
Help the childhood house helpThree years ago - a month before the New Year holidays - a student of the agricultural technical school, the seventeen -year -old handsome guy Sasha, was in a car accident. He was taken to a hospital with a fracture of the cervical vertebra and paralysis of the limbs. He did not immediately realize the irreversibility of the diagnosis. At first I thought that he would recover, but instead almost died.
Sasha Trading is an orphan. At the time of the car accident, he lived in the Samara region, in the city of Bezenchuk, in the hostel of the technical school. Nearby of loved ones he had only the older brother of Vova. It was Vova for the first two weeks that he was on duty at Sasha’s bed in the hospital. And then he went to jail. And Sasha was left alone with Russian medicine.
From a strong blow, Sashin sparkled. He had a decompression of the spinal cord. The operation went well, but soon Sasha developed bilateral pneumonia. All that he could-to wheeze through a traceostom tube, to write through a catheter, there is liquid food from a spoon and look at the ceiling. In this state, a person needs constant care. It is necessary to ensure that he does not suffocate - to remove sputum from the tube, turn it over every hour from side to side, so that it is not more sore. Enough the urinary receiver, wipe the body with wet wipes and just talk.
In the Samara hospital named after Seredavin, where Sasha was lying, there was no one to take care of him regularly. Several times Sasha almost suffocated from sputum, because the nurse was not there. Patients saved, who, having heard his rales, fled to the offices and brought a doctor. The last time the doctor came when Sasha was already turning blue.
Sasha was learned about the terrible situation in the public organization “Childhood House”. She has been working with orphans for many years, helping to get to her feet after the orphanage. The main work with guys and girls is conducted in the center of post -navigation, where graduates of orphanages spend their free time. But sometimes, as in the case of Sasha, you have to work in other conditions, according to another scheme.
Father Vladimir, Stas and Anton transfer Sasha to a specially equipped bed photo: Daria Aslanyan for TDThe director of the Childhood House Anton Rubin spoke in social networks about the difficult situation in which Sasha Trading found himself. Volunteers of the organization and even strangers responded. They made a schedule of duty at the bed of the bed - in the morning one, in the afternoon, the other, in the evening - the third. And at night Anton often was on duty - dozing in a chair near Sashina's bed. When Sasha’s stay in the hospital (21 days) came out, the doctor announced the “house” to the employees that he was prescribed. But where?
Sasha did not have his own home, only a room in a communal apartment, where his mother was supposed to return from prison, who did not need him. The conditions in the communal apartment are terrible, a lying patient would not have survived there. Anton turned to the Ministry of Social, Demographic and Family Policy, and were asked for Sasha two more weeks of hospital treatment. During this period, he fell into intensive care with a heavy attack. If he had been discharged, no one would have known about the attack. And here Sasha was saved.
I saw Sasha for the first time when he was transferred from intensive care to the common chamber. He was thin and pale, with a tracheostomy in his throat, through which he barely breathed, gurgling and wheezing. Bandaged feet (pressure sores), diapers, urinary receiver. "Hello!" I said, going to the bed. He could hardly turn his head a little. I squeezed out the barely audible: "Hello."
How to cheer up a person who is experiencing hell here and nowThat day, the psychologist "Childhood House" came to Sasha. I stood near the bed and listened to how she was talking to him, when Sasha cried for the first time since the accident. Large tears flowed along the once ruddy cheeks. He tried to turn away so that I would not notice tears, but could not. I took him a thin, rough hand in my. What could I tell him to calm and not lie? How to cheer up a person who is experiencing hell here and now? I did not find words, just for a long time, silently stroked his hand. Sasha fell asleep.
Despite the efforts of the duty officers, a terrible gap formed on Sasha’s sacrum - a huge, deep hole. Doctors could not heal her and transferred Sasha to the children's city hospital.
When Sasha was brought, doctors gathered around his bed. They were horrified. There were no conditions for such serious patients as Sasha in the children's hospital. Many doctors did not even see people with such injuries.
The volunteers again organized round -the -clock duty at Sasha’s bed. I can’t imagine how teachers, bakers and office workers did what people with medical education should do. Every day, at Sashina, the feature was accomplished by frightened ordinary people who really wanted him to survive. They bought food and medicines, looked after, bathed, read the books aloud. And slowly Sasha was getting better.

To understand how to cure a terrible pressure sore, I had to rummage the Internet and write several posts on the social network. Doctors shook their hands, and through the Internet there was a person who had a similar wound, and he described in detail the stages of treatment corresponding to the protocols of the World Health Organization. Employees of the "Domka" purchased everything they needed and began to regularly process the wound according to a difficult scheme. She began to drag on.
Someone gave Sasha a laptop to learn to use it again. One evening, Sasha suddenly pressed the mouse button with his finger with his left hand. The psychologist Tatyana almost jumped around the room: “This is progress, Sasha, you understand! We are on the right track, you are recovering! " And the next day it became known that Sasha was transferred again. This time to the Pirogov hospital.
Why Sasha was transferred to this hell, no one understood. He was unloaded in a common corridor on an empty bed, without a blanket and sheets. And fenced off with a screen.
There were still beds behind the screen. Next to Sasha, a dying elderly woman wheezed loudly. A little away, swaying on the bed, a man sat. The wind was walking along the corridor, blowing the ragged bedside tables with the doors hanging on the loops. Cockroaches crawled imposingly on them.
I found a nurse, asked for a pillow and a blanket. Together, we hardly raised Sasha to season the bed. They brought food. All the time that Sasha was ate, I barely restrained the gag reflex - from the woman lying nearby, it smelled unbearably smelled with bowel movements. The nurse honestly said that it was not possible to remove after everyone. Because it is alone here, but there are many patients.
Every day, at Sashina, the feature was accomplished by frightened ordinary people who really wanted him to surviveSeeing the conditions in which Sasha settled, the director of the Childhood House Anton Rubin once again raised the noise and cut off the phones of the Ministry of Health. And Sasha was transferred to the ward, which was no different from the corridor: just instead of the screen there were walls in it.
Stas Dubinin (left) and Anton Rubin from the "Childhood House" check whether Sasha became stronger with their last arrival photo: Daria Aslanyan for TDAll three months, while I followed Sashina’s life and movements to hospitals, I could not understand one thing: what if volunteers had not helped Sasha? If they had not been on duty, did not take care, did not buy medicines and care products, did not shout about his misfortune on every corner? Anton Rubin is sure that Sasha would not survive. It’s scary to realize this, but I saw everything with my own eyes and I agree with him.
Sasha was lucky, no matter how strange it may sound. Strangers rallied around and did everything to save him. But when the wounds dragged on and the body was gaining, the issue of life and death retreated. A new one has appeared - and what's next?
The "Childhood House" began to look for a foster family for Sasha, not really believing in success. Who needs an adult, a broken guy who barely holds a spoon in his hands? But such people were found. Sasha wanted to take a priest from the village of Stepnoy Durasovo, who already had adopted children. The priest has a large parish and farm. And, most importantly, he had a conscious desire to make Sasha a member of the family. It only remained to tell about this to Sasha, who still did not understand that he could never return to ordinary life.
“Sasha ... there is a family who wants to take you to her,” Tanya volunteer Tanya told him.
- How is it to take? For what?
- Because you, as a person with disabilities, need constant care. And you cannot stay in the hospital forever.
- Are I a disabled person? - Sasha was surprised.
With difficulty choosing the words, Anton Rubin explained to Sasha that a long rehabilitation period was ahead. That he will not be able to return to the technical school, and the foster family is the best option. Sasha nodded silently.
More than three years have passed. Sasha passed rehabilitation in the Center "Three Sisters", for which money was collected by the whole world. Rehabilitation brought improvements, but insignificant. Sasha will never be able to get up. He will not be able to run after the girls, play sports and go to discos with friends. But he is no longer an orphan. He has a family - mom, dad, brothers and sisters. There is a room with a large bed and hand simulators. There is life, even if it was not what he dreamed about, but there are a lot of loving people in it. Employees and volunteers of the "Childhood House" who became friends of Sasha regularly visit him in the steppe Durasov. The last time was last Saturday - Sasha looks good, recently returned from the sanatorium, where another rehabilitation was underway. He told how in the summer he “traveled” several times in a stroller to a neighboring village. A year ago, he had difficulty driving around the yard, and now he rides long distances ... I recall Sasha, who could not even move his finger, with a pipe in a wounded throat and understand - Sasha is alive. And this is not a miracle, this is the merit of strangers who did not care.
Sasha photo: Daria Aslanyan for TD"Childhood House" is eight years old. All these years, the organization helps orphans, disabled people and families in a difficult life situation. The most difficult thing is to work with orphans: adult guys and girls, leaving the orphanage, do not know how to survive in a new difficult world. And they will certainly do nonsense if they do not catch them in time. Since 2012, the organization has been implementing the “Culture Center” project, where they teach orphans to live on their own - to communicate with people and departments. Almost everyone except the main specialists help on a voluntary basis - ordinary people after work put on the cloaks of supermen and save those who cannot save themselves. And if with some of them, as with Sasha, trouble happens, go beyond the usual work of the center and do what should. By the way, throughout the imprisonment, they support Sashin's brother Vova. They visit, call up, help resolve conflicts in prison, give competent advice. They want Vova not to make stupid things and be freed ahead of schedule, because his brother Sasha really needs him. And because he has a whole life ahead.
In order for the “growing center” to continue to work, the “childhood house” needs money. It is necessary to pay for the rent of the premises where the guys can come and get the necessary assistance. It is necessary to pay salaries to specialists: lawyer, psychologist, teachers. Help the organization to continue this important and very difficult work, subscribe to a regular donation. And when every month you will receive an SMS with a notification that 100 rubles were written off in favor of a “childhood house”, you will feel a warm sense of involvement in a big business and even, possibly, to save someone’s life.
