The Ministry of Finance developed a bill under which the amount of accrued penalties should not be more than the debt itself. This is an addition to the pre -election tax amnesty proposed by Putin.

• The accrual of penalties will stop on the day when their amount will be equal to the amount of tax debt, Kommersant writes with reference to the draft law developed by the Ministry of Finance. Since October 2017, the size of the penalty for business has doubled - up to 1/150 of the Central Bank rate when delaying more than 30 days.
• According to the Federal Tax Service, as of December 1, 2017, the total amount of penalties for penalties in front of the consolidated budget amounted to 252.6 billion rubles, of which 101 billion rubles were in front of the federal budget. How many of this amount are permanent in penalties, exceeding the size of the arrears, is unknown.
• The amendment of penalties complements the election forgiveness of tax debts, declared by Putin at the end of the year. As a result of these amendments, the total amount of write -off will amount to 205.8 billion rubles, the Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov told President yesterday.
• The tax amnesty will affect 20 million citizens and almost 4 million entrepreneurs. Citizens (41 billion rubles) and individual entrepreneurs (15.8 billion rubles), insurance premiums (as of January 1, 2017) will write 127 billion rubles (as of January 1, 2017). In terms of writing off the so -called conditional income of 2015-2017, formed during the restructuring and debt of debts (on mortgages, for housing and communal services, communication services), about 2 million people will exempt 22 billion rubles from the accrued.
