The association of cinema owners expressed indignation that the Ministry of Culture postponed the rental date of the foreign film “The Adventures of Paddington-2” for the successful start of the next domestic nonsense called “Scythians”, where characters with rich names Lutobors, Lucosar, Vseslav, and so on. This is stronger than the “Faust” of Goethe, but even such a achievement of Russian cinema from the times of Vladimir Putin, as the “legend of Kolovrat”, about which the president put it in the sense that the next time a positive Russian hero should not die, but is obliged to catch a cold at the funeral of his enemies.

Films passing according to the category of patriotic ones-“The Time of the First”, “Salut-7”, “And the Dawns here are quiet”, as the film distributors note, also received preferences similar to “Scythian”, for the sake of them the premes of foreign films were moved. They qualify this kind of actions as a gross direct intervention of the Ministry of Culture in the activities of commercial organizations - cinemas.

Of course, the cultural authorities quickly organized cultural masters, for whom there is no question - with whom they are. Karen Shakhnazarov, Yuri Polyakov, Maria Kozhevnikova, Evgeny Mironov, Igor Ugolnikov, Fedor Bondarchuk and others hastened to testify their respect to the authorities, accusing the distributors of working on their interests, and not on the interests of the state.

It would be, however, it would be logical to invite the state to watch the cinema that is shot in his “interests”, without getting into his “patriotic” games of the viewer. But let's say thanks to the masters of culture for the fact that they, at least, do not demand to put the owners of cinemas for eight years. What would be not surprising in a country where the most talented theatrical directors and managers are actually sitting before the court sentence.

Of course, the problem arose from scratch. There is a strong suspicion that the audience of the Scythian and the bears of Paddington do not coincide. Judging by the trailer of the domestic movie, it is impossible not to show it at night to children-adults without half-liter is not recommended to look at some wild bloodied faces. But if you fight for the domestic cinema, then you will get it out. Well, Paddington was not declared a spy and a foreign agent.

The piquancy of the situation lies in the fact that such actions of the authorities and their voluntary assistants contribute to the awakening of civil and then political consciousness in layers that did not think that the state would fit into their resolutely depolitized business. The Minister of Culture Medinsky needed, of course, to try very hard in order to restore the association of cinemas owners against himself now.

As, however, the mayor of Moscow had to show miracles of deafness in order to provoke a scandal with five -story buildings. It is reported that the president approved the initiative of the Ministry of Construction for the allocation of additional funds for the improvement of small and historical cities. A wonderful initiative. Only if it will be carried out in the same way as the improvement of Moscow, by the method of compulsory make -up of the stinks, wait for trouble, that is, the awakening of civil self -awareness and the opposition political activity of the inconsistent population, which will be popularly explained that their houses should be demolished or landscaped for aesthetic considerations. (By the way, the tiles on Tverskaya are again repaired, and this is at minus temperatures!)

The Russian government is so arranged that it cannot but produce conflict from nothing. In response, she receives quite reasonable discontent of citizens. And all this for the sake of the Scythian? With slanting and greedy eyes? For the sake of the characters, the priest Berendeev, Prince of Tmutarakan, the guardian of Perun?

So far, defenders of parks and courtyards in Moscow, as well as such new battles against state intervention in private spaces as the association of cinema owners, appeal to the same state. Come, help, correct the mistake. Letters, for example, are immediately written to the Prime Minister-both distributors and pro-government masters of culture contact him. This is a competitive and conflict field, where the authorities explain what is its interest. And the state is different. It is Vladimir Medinsky, and Dmitry Medvedev, and Vladimir Putin. The highest power will not intervene in anything. And if it intervenes, then they will hear it as those who consider themselves entitled to act under the sign of state interests want to hear it. Three resolutions of the President of Russia did not save the European University in St. Petersburg from deprivation of a license. And this is an inspiring example for the actually “private armies” of lobbyists who push their interests or their products under the brand of “patriotism” and “state”. This distribution of power gives rise to doubts about the unity and fortress of the vertical.

But this is another story, although extremely important in the context of 2018. The state is who? And what does it, in the end, decide and who does it affect? If there are conflicts around the modest British bear with the involvement of the Prime Minister, then the Scythian and Paddington will soon, as Sechin and Yevtushenkov, the president himself will reconcile. Isn’t it easier to leave society at rest and not go into the private life of the Russians, deciding for them what to watch in the cinema.

It would seem that the TV has already been taken away, so leave at least cinemas. But no. Of all the arts, the most important for us is cinema - this was the case with the author of this phrase, it has now become.

The Scythian is replacing Ivan the Terrible. But he certainly took off him not Eisenstein. Everything that today's state touches is degrading. And, perhaps, normal - not like talented - domestic cinema will soon disappear completely.
