The historian and chairman of the Karelian Memorial, Yuri Dmitriev, accused of making pornographic materials with the participation of a minor, is transferred from the Serbian Institute, where he underwent a psychiatric examination from the end of December 2017, to the Moscow pre -trial detention center No. 2, Butyrka. This is reported by MBH Media.
Lawyer Viktor Anufriev believes that the translation may mean the end of the examination. On January 19, Anufriev was supposed to meet his client, but he was refused a date due to a lack of time.
Dmitriev’s arrest expires on January 28, 2018.
Repeated examination of photographs of the adopted daughter of the historian Yuri Dmitrieva found that the pictures were taken to control the physical development of the child and do not carry the goals of the manufacture of pornography. The first study conducted by the Center for Sociocultural Expertise considered nine photos from 120 pornographic. * On March 2, Dmitriev was charged with depraved actions (Article 135 of the Criminal Code), illegal acquisition and storage, or wearing weapons (Article 222 of the Criminal Code) and photography in relation to a person who has not reached the age of fourteen, in order to manufacture pornographic materials (Article 242.2 of the Criminal Code).
The close heads of the Karelian Memorial consider the result of a provocation: before the case was instituted on Dmitriev, he was called for an unknown reason for a conversation to the district police officer, and while Dmitriev was not at home, someone could get access to his computer where the photographs were stored.
