Repressions against Crimean Tatars and Ukrainian activists in the annexed Crimea are held everyday and mercilessly. Alexander Efimenko talks about one judicial week in Crimea.

In April, Igor Movenko had a criminal case for the “public calls for extremist activities” (Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) in Sevastopol. “It was a number of comments in the Crimea -Ukraine VK group. Just correspondence of the group members under the post about what needs to be done first, when the peninsula is returned. From this huge number of comments, someone pulled mine,” says Movenko.

On September 7, 2016, he was beaten by the former Berkutovets Vladimir Sukhodolsky for the sticker of the Azov battalion on a bicycle. Igor received an open head injury, a concussion, fractures of the base of the skull, jaws, closed fracture of the nasal bones, contusion of the eyeball. The Berkutovtsy was never brought a case, instead, Movenko was fined 2 thousand rubles for the "spread of Nazi symbols", and a few months later they detained him on the way to work. "They twisted it, dragged into the car, beat and insisted that I confess in extremism. They promised to take it into the forest, to strip naked and throw it there."

After the seizure of equipment, Igor does not enter social networks and practically does not use the phone - she fears wiretaps. When asked if he has something to do with the battalion itself and from where he got the stickers, he replies that he thus demonstrated his pro-Ukrainian position. "I am not connected with any military structure in any way. I just love Ukraine and against the war that was unleashed in the east. And the stickers - very simple, went to my friend in a printing house and printed."

In the cafe, Movenko, without lowering voice, tells his story: “At first I was very afraid to communicate with journalists. Then I realized that all this is useless, the sentence will still be and it would be accusatory, there is no point in silent or hide.” The meeting scheduled for January 15 is transferred to the 31st number due to failure to appear representatives of the prosecutor's office.

The repeated sentence to the Crimean farmer Vladimir Baluh is identical to the first. 3 years 7 months of a colony-settlement, and another fine of 10 thousand rubles. The first time the verdict was canceled, the case was sent for a new consideration. Baluha was tried for the illegal turnover of ammunition (part 1 of article 222) and explosives (part 1 of article 222.1). Cartridges, sleeves and TNT checkers were found in the attic in a house where he actually did not live (at the time of the "find" Balukh lived in the house of his mother Natalia). The investigation was not able to establish how, when, with whom and under what circumstances ammunition were acquired. Prints indicating that Vladimir has something to do with them, was also not discovered. The lawyers of Vladimir and human rights activists have repeatedly emphasized that the political case is that the farmer actually judged for the pro -Ukrainian position.

Before the meeting, the corridor was full of listeners, mainly women. Since the annexation, support during ships and searches has become familiar. “All Hizb Ut -Tahrir meetings are held in closed mode - absolutely groundlessly. Wives are not allowed not only to the courtroom, but sometimes to the building itself. For them, the meeting is the only opportunity to see their spouse. This is a very painful issue, so there are so many people today,” explains the activist of Crimean solidarity of Zudieva.

At the hearing, the bailiff Sergei Berezko, who drew up the protocol on Abdullaev, claims that it is not the first time “behaving defiantly”: “Your honor, every time they come to the court, and then threats begin to bailiffs:“ We will meet you on the street. ”What is it for conversations?”

Lily Gemedi’s lawyer sees in the words of the bailiff a discrimination against a religious and national basis: "It was definitely a violation of the law. My principal had the right to be in the court building before its closure. But we do not count on a fair sentence." The next meeting in the case of the "violator of order" will be held on February 6.

Thursday in Crimea is the most troubled day of the week. On Thursdays, searches and detention of Crimean Tatars are most often held. “Perhaps the current thing is dedicated to the next Thursday, and possibly the 18th number. History is repeated in the numbers and days of the week. More precisely, it is repeated by representatives of the current government on the peninsula,” says Ruslan Belyalov, an activist of Crimean solidarity. On the night of Thursday, May 18, 1944, the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people began.

The older sister of the detainee Rian recalls the details of the morning incident: "Neither the light nor the dawn heard a roar - they knocked on all the windows. They flew out, took the phones from all the phones, frightened the children. In general, the exposed script. We are waiting for the conviction, naturally. At a meeting in the case of Vladimir Balukh, the secretary warns that you can only take pictures before and after the announcement of the sentence. But, as soon as the judge finished reading, the bailiffs replace everyone from the hall. I ask you to give me the opportunity to make several frames - useless.

At the trial of Fary Abdullaeva, you have to write a petition for shooting. The peaceful judge Galina Tsyganova satisfies the petition partially: you can shoot, but only the announcement of the decision.

When asked whether the press is allowed into the courtroom in the case of Girai Kulametov, the riot police answered nothing at all, but simply slammed the metal gate in front of the nose. It seems that the peninsula has not heard about the openness and publicity of legal proceedings. And the involved in advance know that the decisions will be prosecutors, no matter how much evidence of their own rightness they present.
