According to the rental certificate, the picture should be released on January 25. According to Zatyzhilo, the new rental date will avoid the release of the film offensive for veterans on the eve of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Battle of Stalingrad, which will be celebrated on February 2. The release of such a tape as the “death of Stalin” is undesirable on the eve of the presidential election, the member of the Council at the Ministry of Culture believes.

In addition, in the opinion of Zatigailo in the picture, there are also signs of violation of Russian legislation. “Our historical symbols are defiled in the tape - the Soviet anthem, orders and medals,” he said. “Marshal Zhukov is depicted by a moron. On January 17, the Ministry of Culture issued the Volga film company, a rental certificate, where the premiere was indicated on January 25 as the date of the premiere.
