In the Ministry of Culture of Russia, a pre -premiere show of the film “Death of Stalin” was held. It is reported by RBC.
The show was attended by cultural figures, in particular, directors Nikita Mikhalkov and Sergey Miroshnichenko, producer Leonid Vereshchagin and deputy chairman of the State Duma Culture Committee Elena Drapeko. The films were screened at the initiative of the Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky.
“Our historical symbols are defiled in the tape - the Soviet anthem, orders and medals. Marshal Zhukov is depicted by a moron. In addition, the film contains scenes of excessive violence. This contradicts the rules for issuing to the films of a rental certificate, ”said Pavel Zatogaylo, a member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Culture.
He added that the Council intends to achieve the transfer of the premiere of the film from January 25 (the tape has already been issued a rental certificate) for the summer. This is necessary that the film does not go to the cinema on the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Battle of Stalingrad, which will be celebrated on February 2.
The release of the film on the eve of the presidential election is also undesirable, added Avilo.
The Marketing Director of the Volga film company Elena Schneerson confirmed that the Ministry of Culture repeatedly requested a copy of the film “Death of Stalin”.
The film tells about the struggle between Joseph Stalin for the post of Secretary General of the party after his death.
