The scandalous business of one of the most influential businessmen of St. Petersburg is nearing the end. Mikhalchenko broke up with most of his assets, including the most valuable port of Bronka. Now accusations against him can be softened, the sources of The Bell say. The case that Mikhalchenko was passing was excited in early 2016, after two containers with Courvoisier cognac, which was designed as a building sealant and, according to the investigation, was intended for Mikhalchenko, were discovered in the port of Ust-Luga.
Parting with all assets - no coincidence, in exchange of accusations against Mikhalchenko can be softened.
The official representative of the Forum called the transfer of assets "planned reorganization." “Mikhalchenko is in prison, the situation is incomprehensible, someone should manage with assets. If earlier he thought that he was about to come out, now these illusions are not, ”says the source of The Bell in the company. “He handed over assets to those to whom he trusts, who can lead the company in normal mode.”
Lawyer Mikhalchenko Alexei Kirsanov claims that the transfer of the Mikhalchenko case back to the prosecutor’s office is in no way connected with the transfer of assets and is caused exclusively by objective reasons.
Mikhalchenko is a well-known businessman in St. Petersburg, a co-owner of the Forum Group of Companies, which previously included companies that engaged in a wide variety of business-from the restoration of state facilities to the production of threads. The Forum Group of Companies also included Baltztri JSC, which received solid state contracts - first from the Federal Security Service (FSO), and then from the Ministry of Culture. In 2015 and 2016, the volumes of the Baltstroya state contracts amounted to about 15 billion rubles a year. During the period of cooperation, Baltstra with the FSO was headed by Evgeny Murov. The colleague of Murov in the FSB used to be the partner of Mikhalchenko, Nikolai Nedov, wrote to RBC.
