The US national team in sports gymnastics was given 175 years for violence against children

Former US Director of the Sports Gymnastics Larry Nassar sports gymnastics was sentenced to a period of 40 to 175 years of prison for sexual violence against minors committed under the guise of medical procedures.

The process concerned crimes in relation to the seven victims, but 156 women or relatives of women who accused Nassar of violence spoke in court. This is how it happened:

Earlier, Nassar was sentenced to 60 years for storing children's pornography.

• Larry Nassar was a doctor at the University of Michigan and worked with the US team in sports gymnastics. In November 2017, he found himself guilty of sexual violence in relation to several girls, committed under the pretext of medical procedures.
• Among those who accused Larry Nassar of violence, the Olympic champion in 2012 sports gymnastics Gabriel Douglas, Eli Raissman, McCail Maroni and Jordine Wiber.
• Constiturators in some of the lawsuits against Nassar are the University of Michigan and the US national team in gymnastics. According to one of the truths, Larissa Boys, she told the coach about Nassar’s actions back in 1997, but no action was taken. After her, the doctor complained about at least six times.
