The Russiangate portal dedicated to investigations has been closed by the decision of investors. This was announced on the air of Ekho Moskvy by the editor-in-chief of the project Aleksandrina Elagina, who specified that she had been fired from this post.
According to Elagina, the claims of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, due to which the site was blocked by Roskomnadzor, are most likely related to the text that was released back in December 2017. She also announced the possible initiation of a criminal case on incitement to extremism.
Earlier it became known that the Russiangate website was blocked three hours after the publication on the evening of January 23 of an investigation dedicated to the head of the FSB, Alexander Bortnikov.
