On the way to Pulkovo airport on January 23, left-wing activist Viktor Filinkov disappeared. His wife reported this.
St. PetersburgOVD-InfoAccording to the activist’s wife, yesterday at 20:00 he was supposed to fly by plane to Kyiv. At 15:00 Filinkov wrote to his wife, who is studying in another country, that he was leaving for the airport in advance and would write later from there. Since then he has not been in touch.
According to the woman, all her husband’s means of communication were working properly, and there was probably Wi-Fi at the airport. He never arrived in Kyiv, and was not admitted to hospitals in St. Petersburg. The police told Filinkov’s wife that he was not brought to the departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs either. Due to the fact that there is no official information about the detention anywhere, she suspects that her husband could have been detained by intelligence officers.
Because of this, Lawyer Vitaly Cherkasov fears “toughness” from law enforcement agencies and calls for information about Filinkov’s disappearance to be disseminated as widely as possible.
Victor's wife said that her husband is from Omsk. He is an anti-fascist and left-wing activist. A few months ago, young people noticed that they were being followed.
