The US Treasury imposed new personal sanctions in connection with the events in Ukraine against 21 Russian and Ukrainian. The list of new defendants in the sanctions list is published on the website of the department.

The restrictions, in particular, were introduced against participants in the illegal supply of Siemens turbines to the annexed Crimea - Deputy Minister of Energy Andrei Cherezov, Director of the Department of Operational Control and Management in the Electric power industry of the Ministry of Energy Evgeny Grabchak and the general director of LLC “Technopromesport” (the company is engaged in the construction of power plants in the Crimea and delivered turbines) Sergei High-axis.

Due to the supply of turbines, the Technopromexport itself and the company of entrepreneur Alexei Mordashov "Heating machines" also fell under sanctions due to the supply of turbines. Mordashov company is a minority shareholder of the St. Petersburg plant "Siemens Technology of Gas Turbine", which sent four gas turbine installations of a German concern to Crimea.

The list also included the Russian governor of Sevastopol Dmitry Ovsyannikov, as well as the Vada Road-Construction Company, which won the construction contract in Crimea Tavrida for 137 billion rubles. The company belongs to businessmen Valery Abramov and Viktor Perevalov, both entrepreneurs also became defendants in the sanctions list.

In addition, the restrictions were introduced against the companies of Vneshotorgservis and Gazaliance CJSC, which are delivered to Russia with the territory of Donbass held by pro -Russian militants. According to RBC, Gazaliance is connected with Sergey Kurchenko, a comrade -in -arms of the fugitive ex -president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.

The sanctions were also introduced against several structures of Surgutneftegaz - Surgutneftegazbank, Media -Invest LLC, Surgutneftegaz Oblast Self -Office, Chervishevsky Sort, LLC, and other companies. Formally subsidiaries of the oil company are already under sanctions - the US Surgutneftegaz back in September 2014.

The assets of persons in the list of American Ministry of Finance will be frozen, they will also be forbidden to conduct business in the USA.

On August 4, Cherezov, an ax and Grabchak got into the EU sanctions list . The European Union Council considered that the employees of the Ministry of Energy Cherezov and Grabchak oversaw energy projects in the Crimea.
