Georgian sumoist prematurely won the Emperor Cup

Georgian Totinzin (real name - Levan Gorgadze) prematurely won the tournament for the Emperor's Cup, becoming the third European in the history of professional sumo, who managed to do this.

The day before the end of the first Totinzin tournament this year has 13 victories and one defeat, which guarantees him victory.

“I did not think that today the decisive battle was only an additional stress for me. I only thought about demonstrating my skills, my sumo. I am very happy,” the Georgian athlete said immediately after the fight.

With his triumph, Totinzin also marked the first victory in six years in the tournament for the Cup of the emperor of the athlete from the lowest Maegasir rank in the High League of Sumo Makuti.

An incredibly successful performance at the Totinonov tournament was largely due to the fact that two of the three holders of the highest rank - Yokozuna - the athlete completed him ahead of schedule due to injuries. The only remaining Yokozuna - Mongol Kakuzu - performs in this tournament very weakly, already having three defeats in his asset.

The two other Europeans who managed to become the owners of the highest trophy in the world of professional sumo were Kotooi from Bulgaria (2008) and Baruto from Estonia (2012), TASS recalls.
