A volunteer from Navalny’s headquarters was detained in the Perm region

In Berezniki, Elena Guseva, a volunteer from the local campaign headquarters of Alexei Navalny, was detained. She told OVD-Info that she was posting leaflets about the upcoming “Voters' Strike”.

The activist was taken to the Berezniki police department. Law enforcement officials told Guseva that they had received information about the leaflets, which were banned by the CEC. In this regard, they need to "tear down leaflets and detain those who put them up."

UPD: Tatyana Guseva wrote an explanatory note, after which she was released from the police department.

On December 25, the CEC refused to register oppositionist Alexei Navalny as a presidential candidate in the 2018 elections due to an outstanding conviction in the Kirovles case. After that, the politician called for a boycott of the presidential elections in 2018 and announced for January 28 an all-Russian protest action - “Voter Strike”.
