In Murmansk, rally participants were detained by force

Police detained 22 people in Murmansk. They were taken to police station No. 1 of the Oktyabrsky district, reports one of the detainees.

According to eyewitnesses, the police used brute physical force and took people into the paddy wagon for no reason.

Headquarters coordinator Violetta Grudina said that all those detained at the protest were released from the department. The majority were charged with violating the procedure for holding a rally, and she was charged with a repeated violation (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). Of the 25 detainees (23 were known), according to her, six are minors. Grudina reported that a police officer pushed her in the back at the entrance to the department, and she fell and injured her knee. Now she has an abrasion on her leg.

“There were about 300-350 people at the rally, it was not coordinated with the authorities. After submitting the notification, we were removed from the list where we were going to hold the action. Today they fenced it off with ribbons. I didn’t get to the location of the protest. They met me 300 meters before the park, threw me to the ground and dragged me into their UAZ. I was thrown into the cold back of the car. The rest of the guys were thrown there in groups of three. Later, the police drove the bus to the Five Corners and began loading everyone there,” said the coordinator.

All the activists of the headquarters wrote complaints about the actions of the police officers.
