Putin's representatives submitted voters' signatures to the Central Election Commission
Representatives of the election headquarters of Vladimir Putin brought to the Central Election Commission the signatures of voters necessary for his registration as a candidate in the presidential elections in the Russian Federation. The press secretary of the headquarters, Andrei Kondrashov, told reporters that about 315,000 signatures had been handed over to the commission, Interfax reports .
According to CEC member Yevgeny Shevchenko, the verification will take 7-8 days, after which the CEC will decide on the candidate's registration. During the check, handwriting experts will be involved, and the CEC will cooperate with the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 60,000 signatures will be used for verification. Rejected signatures should not be more than 5%. If there is an excess of 5% of invalid signatures, the next 30 thousand signatures are re-verified.
