Primorye: The court canceled the liberation of the former vice-governor of the region

The Primorsky Court today canceled the appeal resolution, which issued from the guard of the former first vice-governor of Primorye Vasily Usoltsev. The prosecutor insisting on the cancellation of the appeal resolution noted that the investigation has not yet been completed, not all surveys of witnesses and examination have been carried out. Usoltsev himself was not present at the meeting, writes PrimaMedia .

So far, not one of the questioned witnesses has confirmed Usoltsev's “patronage”. Vitaly Geds, whose company received a state contract for the supply of vermiculite of its own production, denies that he gave Usoltsev a bribe of 18 million rubles. The entrepreneur explained his victory in the competition by the fact that vermiculite was provided for the project for the construction of Hayatt hotels five years ago. According to lawyer Usoltsev, in Russia, only three companies produce vermiculite, and Gedza is closest to the construction and offers material at a more favorable price. Geds said that his business is threatened with bankruptcy if the court decides to detain him again.

In 2003, Vasily Usoltsev was elected State Duma as a deputy, and after 10 years they appointed assistant governor of Primorye. In January 2014, Usoltsev became the vice-governor, and five months later he was increased to the status of the first vice-governor. In October, after the appointment of Andrei Tarasenko, the acting governor Usoltsev retained the post of first vice-governor, but a month later he announced voluntary resignation.
