Bogatova is released from house arrest

Muscovite Dmitry Bogatov, against whom the case of calls for terrorism and preparation for riots is fabricated, is freed from house arrest. It is reported by TASS.

Earlier, Bogatov’s house arrest was extended until January 31. As Mediazona notes with reference to Sarkis Darbinyan, the lawyer of the accused, Tuesday - the last day when the TFR could contact the Presnensky district court of Moscow with a petition for the extension of the Bogatov preventive measure. However, TASS in court said that the investigation department did not send such a petition.

In turn, the unnamed source of the agency in law enforcement agencies explained the liberation of Bogatov "by the absence of grounds for extending a preventive measure."

The 26-year-old Bogatov, a teacher of mathematics at the Moscow Financial and Legal Academy, was charged with part 1 of Article 30-Part 1 of Article 212 (preparation for the organization of riots; up to seven and a half years of the colony) and part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code (public calls for terrorism via the Internet; up to seven years). According to the plot of the case, the Muscovite called for participation in protests on April 2, 2017.

It is claimed that on March 29, Bogatov from the account, led by Ayrat Bashirov, published on VKontakte the following message: "April 2 on Red Square. On a dick of coordination. Rags, bottles, gasoline, turpentine, foam, acetone - if possible." The TFR claims that the record was made from the IP address of the accused's apartment.

Bogatov himself insists that at the time of the publication he was not at home, he was not at home. His lawyers indicated that publications on behalf of Ayrat Bashirov were distributed from several IP addresses and only one of them corresponds to the apartment of the accused. In addition, the defense noted, this IP address belonged to the output node of the Tor network, so any user of an anonymous network that connected to the node could write a message.

At the same time, after the initiation of the case against the Muscovite, a user who has access to the Irat Bashirov account took responsibility for publishing a post -imputed mathematics.

Bogatov was detained on the night of April 6. Four days later, on the 10th, he was sent to a pre-trial detention center.

The developers of Tor, as well as the Linux Debian operating systems, in support of Bogatov, in the creation of which the mathematician took part in. In addition, the statement in the defense of Politsyk made an American defector Edward Snowden.

The initiative group of Moscow State University, whose graduate is Bogatov, organized the collection of signatures in the name of Vladimir Putin with a request to intervene in the investigation of the case and attract competent specialists to him. The signatures under the document were set by 1544 teachers, graduate student and university student. On July 18, the appeal was transferred to the presidential administration .

On July 24, Bogatov was transferred under house arrest .

In early December, it became known that the TFR refused to attach to the case the results of the study on the polygraph, which fully confirmed the accused to publish the post.

Last week it turned out that the computer-technical examination, which took eight months, also did not find evidence convicting Bogatov.
