Marat Ismailov, the organizer of the anti-corruption rally held in Makhachkala on March 26, 2017, continues to challenge the arrests at the rally. On January 30, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Dagestan considered his complaint about the inaction of the investigation, which refused to conduct a pre-investigation check on the early termination of the action. The action against corruption “He is not Dimon to you” was held in Makhachkala on March 26, 2017, several participants were detained, and the action itself was terminated ahead of schedule. On June 30, the Supreme Court of the republic acquitted the detained seven protesters.
In November 2017, Marat Ismailov filed a complaint with the Investigative Department of the Sovetsky District of Makhachkala with a statement about the obstruction of a public event (Article 149 of the Criminal Code). As a result, the pre-investigation check on the complaint was not carried out, and Ismailov was sent a standard answer: no signs of a crime were revealed.
Ismailov filed a complaint against the refusal to conduct a pre-investigation check with the Sovetsky District Court of Makhachkala about the inaction of the employees of the investigative department, the complaint was denied. On December 29, 2017, an appeal was filed against this decision of the court.
On January 30, 2018, the Supreme Court of Dagestan partially satisfied the appeal and sent the case on the inaction of the investigative department for a new trial.
