UAC will be part of Rostec, Putin approved

The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov confirmed that President Vladimir Putin supported the proposal to connect Rostec Group of Companies to financing the creation of the MS-21 Central Semagistral aircraft, RIA Novosti reports. This may be the first step towards the entry of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) in the state corporation.

The head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, did not comment on the reports of the UAC transition to the structure of the state corporation he headed, Interfax reports. “When there will be a presidential decree, then we’ll talk, the topic has long been discussed,” he told reporters.

Almost at the same time it became known that Aeroflot signed a “firm” contract with Rostec for the supply of 50 MS-21 aircraft, RBC writes. The supplier will be a subsidiary of Rostec - a leasing company Aviakapital -Service.

The first aircraft will receive airline in 2020, the latter in 2026. As a result, Aeroflot, which already has the largest fleet of Sukhoi Superjet-100 (SSJ-100), consisting of 35 machines, will become the largest operator MS-21.

Earlier on Thursday, the Kommersant newspaper reported that the head of state supported the mechanism of the UAC to join Rostec. "The state corporation will invest in the UAC capital of about 30 billion rubles for the program for creating the MS -21 medium -sized trunk aircraft," the newspaper writes.

On January 19, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said that the issue of joining the UAC in Rostec is now being discussed, which is ready to allocate about 30-40 billion rubles for the production of a new liner.

The family of passenger narrow -fuselage liners MS -21 ("Highway Aircraft") is a civilian project of the Irkut Corporation, which is part of the UAC. The basic version of the aircraft is MS-21-300 with a capacity of 180-200 seats, it is also planned to launch the production of MS-21-200 with 150 seats, the MS-21-400 project for more than 200 passengers is considered.

The UAC was created in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of November 20, 2006 to preserve and develop the scientific and production potential of the aircraft construction complex of the Russian Federation, ensure the defense capability of the state, as well as the concentration of resources to create promising aircraft. Now the corporation includes about 30 enterprises. In 2013, the UAC was transferred nine aircraft repair plants of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The largest specific gravity in the production structure is occupied by military products - both for the Ministry of Defense and for export delivery.

Rostec State Corporation was created in 2007 to promote the development, production and export of high -tech industrial products of civil and military purposes. It includes 663 organizations, of which nine holding companies are formed in the defense and industrial complex and six in civilian industries. 32 organizations are controlled directly.

The Rostec also includes the only state special export of weapons "Rosoboronexport." Rostec supplies its products to markets of more than 70 countries.
