The coordinator of Navalny's Lipetsk headquarters was arrested for 20 days

The Sovetsky District Court of Lipetsk arrested Ilya Danilov, coordinator of the local strike headquarters of Alexei Navalny, for 20 days. This is stated in the “Team Navalny|Lipetsk” group on VKontakte.

The activist was found guilty of repeated violation of the procedure for holding a public event (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences) due to his participation in the action on January 28.

On January 31, police detained Danilov at his house and took him to the department. After some time, headquarters volunteer Vladislav Zlobin was taken to the police, after which both activists were taken to court.

As a result, the volunteer was arrested for 20 days. Zlobin has diabetes.

• On December 25, the Central Election Commission refused to register oppositionist Alexei Navalny as a presidential candidate in the 2018 elections due to an outstanding criminal record. After this, the politician called for a boycott of the presidential elections in 2018 and announced a nationwide protest action for January 28 - “Voter Strike.”
• On January 28, 350 people were detained at rallies as part of the “Voter Strike” in different cities.
