The authorities of St. Petersburg did not agree on the holding of the Anticlericalism-2018 action at four sites in the city center. It is reported by Zaks.ru.
Representatives of the Smolninsk Committee on Law, Order and Security justified their decision by the fact that these sites are occupied. Members of the administration of the Moskovsky district refused to approve the rally due to the fact that the notification of the activists did not contain “traffic routes at the rally”. Although, as noted in the publication's message, from the very beginning, the applicants did not plan any routes.
The organizers appealed against the officials' refusals. They stated that they would hold the event at one of the announced venues, regardless of the court's decision.
The meeting "Anticlericalism-2018" on the social network "VKontakte" says that this is an annual action that is held in St. Petersburg and other cities of the country. This year the event will be timed to coincide with the centenary of the Decree on the separation of the church from the state and the school from the church.
Zaks.ru clarifies that in recent years it has become increasingly difficult for activists of the movement to coordinate their event.
