Writers, publishers, critics and teachers turned an open letter to the children's Ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova, who declared a certain list of "indecent" works of modern children's literature. The document was published by the critic Ksenia Moldavskaya.

On Thursday, at the All -Russian video conference "Ethics of safe behavior on the Internet: the role and possibility of libraries" Kuznetsova spoke about 16 books "which in no case should be recommended to children." The authors of the letter drew attention to the similarity of the collection presented by the Ombudsman with the listed by unknown users of the Internet list "16 masterpieces of modern children's literature, which even to adults are scary." The text is published on many sites and pages in social networks.

As noted in the letter, the lines "Do you want, I am Antoshka, I will fall asleep with powder" taken from the poem by Sergey Mikhalkov "flu". The poem by Boris Schwartz “Merry Grass” is very amused by modern readers: after all, over the past twenty years this phrase has been perceived only as the euphemism of a narcotic plant ”, but the book was first published in 1975, and then no one even thought about this significance.”

“It cannot be assumed that if the text of the“ bull -free bull ” - a fairy tale recorded by the researchers is intended for children. Speaking about the mentioned Kuznetsova, among the “indecent” work of Svetlana Lavrova, “where the cock horse jumps,” the authors of the letter noted that the creature made into the name is a character of the folklore of the Komi people, “the spirit of chaos, devastation, environmental disaster”. At the same time, Lavrova’s book in 2013 won the All -Russian competition for the best work for adolescents “Bookra”, and in 2014 it became the “Book of the Year” in the nomination of children's literature.

In addition, the letter says that many of the works mentioned in the list, in particular, the poem of Igor Irteniev 1991, cannot be considered modern.

According to the authors of the letter, in her speech, Kuznetsova appreciated the children's literature "in the opposite is straightforward", added "meanings that are not characteristic of the childhood, marginal." "We sincerely hope that this performance is simply poorly prepared by one of your referents, and does not reflect your attitude to modern children's literature. Such sites and publics cannot serve as an adequate information about the state of affairs in it," the authors said to Kuznetsov to a dialogue.
