According to the press service of the project, the French film company Charades , founded a year ago, former leaders of large European distributors Wild Bunch, Gaumont and Studiocanaal , acquired international rights to sell the film.
Sales of the film "Summer" will begin on the international film market in Berlin in mid -February.
“In August, in St. Petersburg, Kirill Serebrennikov managed to remove almost all the necessary material,” says Ilya Stewart, producer of the picture. - As we reported earlier, several incorrect technical scenes managed to finish the notes of the director and previously conducted rehearsals. We greatly appreciate the support of French colleagues and are very glad that we are approaching the end of the film. And - the most important thing for us is the film mounted by the director himself. ”
It is also reported that the film received the approval and support of the French National Cinematography Center CNC , which exists with the joint support of the French Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The CNC Foundation is known for supporting the carefully selected Coproductions of France with other countries of the world.
The film "Summer" is produced by the Hype Film (Russia) and Kinovista (France) film companies. The effect of the picture based on the little -known facts of the biography of Viktor Tsoi takes place in the summer of 1981 in Leningrad. The main storyline of the film is the story of dating and relations of the 19-year-old Tsoi, 26-year-old Mike Naumenko and his wife Natalia, as well as the formation of the Leningrad rock club and the record of the first album of Tsoi.
Completely work on the film "Summer" will be completed in the spring, the date of its release in Russia has not yet been announced.
Filming began in July 2017 and were frozen in late August by decision of the film crew after the arrest of director Kirill Serebrennikov.
