Ukraine finally refused Saakashvili to refuge

The Kiev Appeal Administrative Court recognized the refusal of the Migration Service of Ukraine to recognize the leader of the Party "Movement of New Forces" by Mikhail Saakashvili or a person in need of additional protection. It is reported by Ukrainian Pravda.

The court approved the decision of the Kyiv District Administrative Court, it entered into legal force. Now Saakashvili is illegally in Ukraine - the country's authorities can begin the process of extradition of a policy in Georgia.

“We will appeal this decision in the cassation instance. If the court in the cassation instance does not support our positions, then we will continue to move to protect Saakashvili. There are also European instances,” said the lawyer of the former President of Georgia, Ruslan Chernolutsky.

Saakashvili himself at the hearing called the court a “divorce” and said that he would no longer go to the courts about the legality of his stay in Ukraine. “It’s better for this time I will deal with the embodiment of our plan with you by February 18,” the oppositionist wrote on Facebook. At the Sunday protest march in Kyiv, Saakashvili demanded that Petro Poroshenko leave the post of president of Ukraine until the 18th.

In his homeland, Saakashvili was sentenced in absentia to three years in prison - in January the Tbilisi City Court found him guilty of abuse of powers. According to the prosecution, when the President, politicians illegally pardoned four convicts.

In Ukraine, the case has also been instituted against the opposition - Saakashvili is charged with part 1 of Article 15, part 2 of Article 28 - Part 2 of Article 256 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code (attempted assistance to participants in criminal organizations committed by an official as part of a group of persons; from 5 to 10 years of colony). According to investigators, he agreed to finance protests in the country with the oligarch, a comrade-in-arms of the fugitive ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych Sergey Kurchenko in exchange for the "interests of the criminal group". Saakashvili himself denies all the accusations - the politician claims that he is not familiar with Kurchenko. On January 26, the Kiev Court of Appeal sent a politician under night house arrest , forbidding him to leave housing from 22 p.m. to 7 a.m.

In July 2017, Poroshenko deprived Saakashvili of the citizenship of Ukraine. At this time, the opposition was in the USA. In September, the ex-president of Georgia, with the help of his supporters with a battle, broke into Ukraine from Poland. After that, the politician asked for asylum in the country, but received a rejection of the state migration service. Since that time, the opposition is trying to appeal the actions of officials in the courts of various instances.
