In Kemerovo, the director of one of the management companies was suspected of organizing mining farms at the expense of residents of an apartment building: an entrepreneurial citizen decided to get hold of free electricity and installed a rack in the back room. Cryptocurrency mining is an extremely energy -consuming procedure, and electricity is one of the two main articles of miner expenses, along with equipment. The director of the Criminal Code of the premium, apparently, decided to save on this and installed a farm in the house N18B on Tereshkova Street.

The Kemerovo newspaper was told about this by local residents. They also turned to the State Housing Inspectorate. On the same evening, the director took out the equipment from the entrance, they say.

The press service of GZHI confirmed that such a signal was received. Now, together with the police, an audit has been organized: “Inspectors, having left at the address: 18b Tereshkova Street, called the police outfit to the place. Currently, law enforcement agencies are being verified on this fact, during which a legal assessment of the head of the managing organization will be given and the issue of the legality of its actions is decided. We note that all equipment was disconnected and dismantled.”

Representatives of the management company requested information about the composition of the common property of the house in order to determine in which the territory the equipment was located.

The police said TASS to the police that the issue of bringing the director of the Criminal Code is decided: "Law enforcement agencies are being verified on this fact, during which a legal assessment of the activities of the head of the managing organization will be given and the issue of the legality of his actions will be resolved."

The cryptocurrency does not have a regulatory body by the type of central bank. The issue is carried out by users by mining - the key selection process, which allows you to find and create new blockchain chain blocks, in which transactions are fixed. For mining, either specialized installations are used - ASIC or powerful video cards from which farms are assembled. In any case, such farms consume a lot of electricity - both for the operation of the processors themselves and for powerful cooling systems.
