In Simferopol on the morning of February 7, security forces came to search the house of the Crimean Tatar Mustafa Kalafatov. This was reported on the site "Crimea. Realities".
Kalafatov was detained and taken away in an unknown direction. During the search, law enforcement officers were looking for weapons and extremist literature.
"Crimea. Realities” quote the words of the activist of the movement “Crimean Solidarity” Server Mustafaev. In his opinion, the search at Kalafatov's is another act of intimidation:
Only from the words of the neighbors can we positively characterize this family, this person, this is an ordinary citizen ... Here the idea that they are trying to convey to the community comes to light: today they handed over the whites, tomorrow they handed over the blacks, the day after tomorrow they will come for the rest. We must realize that these are general persecutions and not particular cases. This trend is visible - activists will be taken away first, then the rest.
