
In Yevpatoria, the investigator of the Investigative Committee charged the 39-year-old anarchist Yevgeny Karakashev under part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (arousing of hatred or enmity) and part 2 of article 205.2 (calls for the implementation of terrorist activities using the Internet). The lawyer of the Agora group Alexei Ladin reported to the Franes about this.
The reason for the criminal prosecution was the video file published by Karakashev on the VKontakte social network (at the end of 2014) and a certain text (in January 2017). "The television tiles presented for the study ... contain linguistic and psychological signs of promotion to commit forced, destructive actions," the decision on attracting as the accused says. The charges under the 282nd article of the “Last Interview of the Primorsky Partisans”, previously recognized by the court with extremist material due to the publication by the activist.
According to Ladin, Karakashev himself connects the initiation of a criminal case and the subsequent arrest with protests against the development of the resort zone of Yevpatoria in the vicinity of Lake Moynak.
The criminal case was opened on January 31. On February 1, on the day of public hearings on the issue of development, Karakashev was detained and placed in a temporary detention center.
On February 5, the Yevpatoriysk City Court arrested Karakashev for two months , until April 1. During the trial, it was noticeable that Karakashev had a large abrasion on the head. The activist himself at the meeting said that he did not consider himself guilty. He emphasized that his passports were seized during the search and he could not hide anywhere.
On February 14, the Supreme Court of Crimea will be considered an appeal to the decision to conclude Karakashev in custody.
In early 2017, the Russian prosecutor's office in Yevpatoria demanded that the anarchist give an explanation about the "posting of an anti -Russian publication on the Internet." Karakashev then connected the interest in him of the Russian special services with the attempt of the Crimean anarchists in November 2016 to hold a picket at the police building in Yevpatoria against political repressions.
