Among those who were detained during the “voters' strikes” on January 28, was the leading of the Naval Live television channel Dmitry Nizovtsev. He, along with his colleague, led a live broadcast on an unauthorized protest. When the police came to the office, the presenters did not interrupt the air and continued to talk about what was happening while the police cracked the door to the studio. Dmitry Nizovtsev was detained and received 10 days for disobedience.
Before last year, Dmitry got into the team of Alexei Navalny, for some time he worked as a teleporter - first on the Russian federal channel, and then on regional television in Khabarovsk. On February 7, Dmitry Nizovtsev was released from custody, and he gave an interview to the correspondent "Siberia. Real."
- Dmitry, immediately after you were detained, information appeared on social networks that the security forces were looking for an explosive device directly in your phone. Was it like that?
- In fact, everything was wrong. The police learned that some people allegedly reported a bomb in the Omega Plaza business center, in which our studio is located. And then the police came to us with a huge crowd. It was not clear that they were from law enforcement agencies, and they did not show certificates, although we asked. Maybe these were generally some bandits-they came here, tried to break the door to the studio.
- How did they behave at the same time?
- They did not have enough IQ - they tried to turn on the grinder for a long time. It took them 10 minutes to get to our studio from the common room, although it is actually at the entrance. They broke, began to scream. I tried to ask them at least a certificate to find out who I am talking to. But, again, the police did not have enough IQ even for this simplest mission.
When I was taken to the corridor, I took out the phone and began to shoot them. The main policeman said: "Probably, in his phone is a bomb!"
Then I thought that they just wanted to throw us out and stop the broadcast. When I was taken to the corridor, I took out the phone and began to shoot them. Still, I am a journalist or who? This was very offended, and the main policeman said: "Probably in his phone a bomb!" The phone was immediately selected, they said that it was necessary to check it. I myself in my jacket and a shirt were swinted, and the maximum that I thought was that they will take me to the police, they will establish a personality and let go. And already being in the police department, I look - everyone is not released or released. And then it became clear that there would be a court. The next day I was given 10 days. The legend of the bomb in my phone went because of this. By the way, I was already saying goodbye to the phone, because the equipment that was seized at the FBK office last year has not been returned to them so far.

- Can you describe your sensations at the moment when it was necessary to broadcast to the sounds of a hacked door of the door? What did you feel: fear, drive or ...?
- There was the only thought: "We must shoot it." I remember the example of journalist Yegor Skovoroda from the Mediazone. During his trip to Ingushetia , the bus was attacked, and the first thing he did was to go to the floor, turned on the recorder and recorded everything that happened there. We did not have such a heroic situation, but we only hoped that even if it had not stopped. In fact, the main character in this story was my colleague, presenter Elena Malakhovskaya, who turned to the guys in the cabin so that they turned on the record rather and would not turn off in any case. Thanks to this, people saw what happened to us and what a mess the police staged.
- There was no fear?
- Absolutely not. Here on television in Khabarovsk, I have recently had a fear for the fact that I would say something wrong and the editor, television company, and someone else will suffer. And when you work at the headquarters or FBK, you are worried only for yourself. You are aware that the police know you, at the center "E" you are in sight. Everyone who needs is already known about you anyway, so there is nothing to be afraid of. When I left Khabarovsk, they told me: “Dima, they can arrest you there,” I perfectly understood this. I do not want to flaunt, but this is a normal feeling when you work in this system. You get used to it. You can’t constantly be in horror, getting used to it absolutely normal.
- How did your broadcast on the air Elena Malakhovskaya survived this story with a hacking studio and detention?
- Elena, of course, was very sorry. She was a very experienced journalist and worked on such channels, which I am still far away. Okay, I'm a boy, but Elena is an intelligent girl with glasses, and she was taken out and kept in the police all day. And this was a violation of her rights, because Elena has a minor child, she should have been released immediately, according to the Code of Administrative Offenses. But until the last they wanted to keep it, until the morning, fundamentally. It is good that there was our lawyer, who told the police that they did not have the right to do so, showed all the documents proving that she has a child. And absolutely in a prickly, the head of the police department, who said: "There are no documents-there is no child." But Elena managed to take away from the Internal Affairs Directorate, not to leave her there at night. The next day she was awarded a thousand rubles of a fine. We have such “justice” that this can be considered success - a person did not commit anything illegal, received a fine out of the blue, and he is considered justified as if.
- You expected this - that security forces can go on the air?
- No matter how many people asked, everyone said that they knew that it would be so. And I didn't even assume. According to my most negative forecasts, I thought that something could begin in the afternoon. I was preparing for work until the evening-I took food with me, tried to relax as much as possible, because I understood all the difficulties of a 14-hour working day. Moreover, only four hours before that I slept. Until the last, I did not think that they would treat us like that, that they would also be imprisoned. But, apparently, this was worth expecting.
- You had this the first experience of arrest. Did you understand something important to themselves in these 10 days, which was not understood before?
- This was my first, and I hope the last, experience. But the special receiver was not terrible, it was still civilian there, but the night in the site. It was hard: a wooden flooring, a closed door. It was monstrous that you were sitting on a piece of wood, and you had neither a clock, nor the laces on the boots, nothing. I wanted to ask the police, I knocked, but they did not open and did not react. And then it became creepy: and if I had any attack? It was anxious and scary. The police behaved very much in a hammone, sorry, like cattle. When I told them that I was an allergic, they began to mock: "Now we are running to the pharmacy, haha." It was vile - they talked to me, as it is incomprehensible with whom. Moreover, I was not yet charged.

And in a specialist and bed, a better one, and attitude. It is quite normal for itself, but the hardest is the daily "nothing." It was freezing. I sat in the cell with the guys who have spent a week there for a week. I was inspired because I found out that our broadcast was then not interrupted and was successful. The cellmates were very tired. These were two businessmen - Armenian and half -liter. They came across problems with rights and a booze, but they did not know each other before. For them, every day of imprisonment was not only a loss of time, but also money. They went from corner to corner and said how tired and tortured.
On the fifth day, you have nothing to think about, and you scroll through the same thoughts in your head. It drives crazy
There are a limited number: you can eat, sleep, read. You can play checkers or backgammon (and you can’t do with dominoes and cards). I tried to do something all the time, so as not to plunge into any thoughts. These guys told me that all thoughts are ending. For a while you think about loved ones, then about work. On the fifth day, you have nothing to think about, and you scroll through the same thoughts in your head. This drives crazy. I tried to surround myself with books, and this is good, because in ordinary life I read only journalism, and then I got to the books. At some point I read three at once. There was a library with detectives and classics. And much more. For example, with a biography of Tsereteli. But most of the books were handed over to me.

- How long have you become a supporter of Navalny? How is it close to you?
Medvedev’s reign was a clowning: Magnitsky’s case, acceleration of rallies, acceleration of "marches of disagreements"
- I do not hide that until 2007 I was an ardent Plain. It’s hard for me to imagine this now, but then I told my friends that I was proud of my president. In 2007, there were the first such bad elections, and I saw it, I realized that we were moving the wrong way. That is, the elections to the Duma were already some kind of suspicious-there is a lot of agitation in one batch. But they are nothing compared to the "elections" of President Medvedev, where the agitation was from everywhere, and the CEC did not notice anything. Such a clowning was happening - I realized that I was not on the way with them. Then the events began that convinced me that Medvedev’s reign was a clowning: Magnitsky’s business, acceleration of rallies, acceleration of “marches of disagreed”. I went to the opposition, however, I still did not know who to be with, I read some kind of marginal sites. In 2010, an investigation of Navalny about Transneft appeared, I began to look closely at him. And the further, the more I was interested. A year later, it became obvious that Alexei Navalny was a leader in modern protest, and I realized who to be with.
Then I worked on the federal channel - on DVTRK - and read an interview with Navalny in Esquire. There was a very epic portrait - I printed it and put it on my table. The director, whom everyone was afraid, approached, and barked hard: "Remove."
In recent years, it seemed to me that I was a sort of partisans, there were 3-5 people in Khabarovsk. With them, we even organized the local branch of the Party of Progress, which was created by Navalny.
And then in 2017 the headquarters began to open throughout the country, and when the headquarters in Khabarovsk opened, there were no questions for me "here or here." That's it, I had to work there. But even volunteer work substituted my television company under blow, and so that she had no problem, I quit and went to the employee. In December, Navalny organized a competition of TV presenters for a new project. I wrote with my friend Andrei Pastukhov video tank, put my television portions and fragments of the video that we shot at the headquarters - showed that I can. And I was told to come to the sample. But I thought that I failed them, returned to Khabarovsk and told my girlfriend that I would not go anywhere. And then on December 28 they answered me that I was a competition and that they were waiting for me in Moscow. I am now quite closely and closely working with Alexei.
- Who do you feel more today - a journalist or already a political figure?
- I definitely are not a politician and in no case are I going to be. I believe that I am a correspondent, including when we had a trial, we proved that I fulfilled my journalistic duties. And in the future, if we won, I would like to end politics, return to my native Khabarovsk and calmly do my favorite thing - journalism.
- In your opinion, what journalism is possible and in demand today in Russia?
The guys who work on the GOSTELEKANAL call from the Khabarovsk "White House" and indicate what can be said and what cannot
- Probably, what we are doing today in our Navalny studio is an independent, real one, in which you can call a seagull thief, and Navalny - a politician. Only such journalism is possible and necessary. In general, I do not consider myself a journalist as such, because there is no appropriate education, and I am not Sergey Smirnov and not Eugene Albats. But thanks to my colleagues who are doing this with me, for the fact that we take everything on the air together fearlessly. And what they do on the Russia channel and on the first is not journalism, they are not objectively, they are dictated by all from the presidential administration. And I myself saw how the guys who work on the GOSTELEKANAL call from the Khabarovsk "White House" and indicate what can be said and what is impossible.
- Your colleagues Kira Yarmysh and Ruslan Shadadinov were broadcasting, being abroad. They detained them at Sheremetyevo Airport - how do you explain such a collision on the TV presenters of Navalny?
- How Kira and Ruslan will work - it was a secret even from me. We had some kind of secret studio, they said that they would broadcast from somewhere, I really knew nothing about them. The fact that they were arrested, I learned already in court. Details were not known to me. The other day I met Ruslan, he spoke about his special receiver and about the fact that the tangerines were handed over to him. And by the way, they did not give me, because for some reason it was impossible to transmit citrus fruits in my special receiver. But at the same time I had a bed, and he had almost wooden bunks, which could not be sleeped on.
We were exactly the mouthpiece that broadcast about protest. And they increased the degree of this protest. Those who fight rallies stood the task of stopping our broadcasting so that no one knew anything. Therefore, they decided to winger those who talk about these promotions and create an information background, not profitable to the center "E". Ruslan and Kira began broadcasting at four in the morning in Moscow. And, apparently, even then the police woke up and fussed, began to look for them. Most likely, they thought that they would find them in our studio, but they did not find either here or other rooms, because these guys were reliably hidden. It was not possible to hide us, well, okay - I spent 10 days in the police and special reception, I could not leave.

- How did relatives in Khabarovsk react to your detention and arrest? Are they asking to return to their hometown?
- They reacted very well. I was very worried about my mother in the police, because in one of the media there was information that "Dima Nizovites laid a bomb." Some publication wrote that they could give me a criminal, so I asked the lawyer to quickly call my mother and say that everything is in order: Dima, maybe they sew, but the administrative. And mom at that time was already informed much better than me. She already watched all the videos on YouTube and read everything. She said that she understands everything. They gave me every day for 15 minutes to a call, and I talked to her in a day, and another day I called someone else. And she calmly held on. Only when I went out, she said: "Finally, today I sing and sleep normally." Of course, she was very worried about all this time.
Mom is a supporter of Navalny and does not hide it. He goes to rallies, very supports and is slightly worried so that nothing happens to me. But such that she told me: “Find another job, come back” - no. It's nice that both my mother and the girl I met at the headquarters in Khabarovsk support me. She is a volunteer. The only thing they were worried about the detention, but even the hint of advice to quit and find another job. I am very glad that such people surround me.
