Elon Musk's Tesla, which was launched into space by SpaceX on February 6, has been included in the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory's database of spacecraft and solar system objects. Grist journalist Eric Holthouse drew attention to this.

"Tesla" is listed in the database as a spaceship. The description mentions all the items in the car - a dummy in a spacesuit, a toy car of the same model with a small figure of an astronaut, an electronic copy of Isaac Asimov's book, and a metal plate with the names of six thousand SpaceX employees, fixed between the car and the last stage of the Falcon Heavy.
