The Icelandic composer Johan Johannsson died

Icelandic composer and musician Johan Johannsson, nominated at Oscars and Golden Globe for music for films, died at the age of 48.

There is no information about the causes of death yet. The composer’s body was found in his apartment in Berlin.

In 2014, Johan Johansson received the Golden Globe and was nominated for Oscar, Grammy and BAFTA award in 2014 for music for the film “Universe of Stephen Hawking” (“Theory of all”). A year later, he was again nominated for an Oscar for the music for the film "The killer" Denis Vilnev.
Johansson released nine solo albums, more than 10 soundtracks, wrote music for theater and television.
