The French freestyle player Perrin Laffon won a gold medal in Mogul at the Olympic Games in the South Korean Pyeongchang, showing in the main finale the result of 78.65 points.

Silver was taken by the champion of the Olympics in Sochi Canadian Justin Dufur Lapant (78.56), bronze went to the representative of Kazakhstan Julia Galysheva (77.40).

Russian athletes failed to break into the main final. Regina Rakhimova and Ekaterina Stolyarova became the 10th and 11th in the second final round.

“To be honest, I am upset that I lost to myself that I made a mistake,” Rakhimova lamented. “I do not regret that I lost to these rivals. I regret that I lost to myself first. Probably more upset than I am happy. I would be happy if I stood on the pedestal today.”
