The press secretary of the Turkish President Ibrahim Kalyn and the US Presidential Advisor Herbert McMaster on Sunday, February 11, discussed two-way relations in Istanbul, Turkish media reported with reference to the source from the Turkish president.

Last year, Trump in a telephone conversation promised Erdogan to completely stop the transfer of weapons to Kurdish detachments in Syria. The Pentagon later made a statement that the supply of the Kurds of weapons is ongoing.

In January of this year, Kalyn held telephone conversations with McMaster, after which it became known that Washington again promised to stop sending weapons to the Kurds.
