Young Germans recorded a video against violence by immigrants: now they are promoted by nationalists. What does statistics say?

In Germany, a movement against a specific type of violence against women - violence by immigrants arises. Activists calls his movement “120 decibel” - this is the volume of the pocket “alarming button”, which, as they say, are now forced to carry European women with them. So far, activists say, there are only a dozen of them, but their first video collected more than 70 thousand views in German and more than one hundred thousand with English subtitles. Girls are actively promoted by “eminent” nationalists - one of the leaders of the ultra -right “identity of identityists”, Austrian Martin Zelner and an American blogger, known for his antifeministic views and support of European nationalism, Brittany Pettibone.

“My name is Ebba. My name is Mia. My name is Maria. I was killed in a candele, I was raped in Malmas, they mocked me in the rower, ” - the girls in turn appear in the video, listing the names of the victims of crimes, of which immigrants are suspected or accused. “When we run in the park, when we return from work, when we are waiting for the bus at the bus stop, we are not safe because you do not protect us because you refuse to protect our boundaries because you refuse to control those who come because you refuse to deport the criminals ...”. And further: “Because of your immigration policy, we will soon face a large number of young men from archaic societies where women are not respected.” At the end of the video, women take turns repeating: "We are the daughters of Europe ..."

The 120 Decibel movement already has its own website on the Internet and a Facebook page. Page rating is 2.9 out of 5. Liberation reviews (“It is good that such a movement has finally appeared”, “Finally we can open our mouth and protect ourselves!”) Are interspersed with criticism: “This is persecution. Sexism and crimes are a problem that does not depend on the color of the skin ”; “Nazis will never work good people.” But there are still more laudatory comments.

As soon as the video appeared on the Internet, it was posted in his YouTube channel, supplying English subtitles, the famous Austrian nationalist Martin Zelner. After the appearance of the video, he already managed to invite his two heroines to him and record an interview with them.

Martin Zelner is the figure of generally odious, one of the leaders of the ultra -right movement of the new format, whose participants call themselves identicalists. How easy it is to guess from the name, participants in the movement protect their (that is, European) identity in the conditions of what they call the invasion of immigrants. Over the past couple of years, they have actively attracted attention with loud actions: they climbed into the Brandenburg gates to stretch their flag over them, scattered their leaflets from the roof of the Turkish Embassy in Vienna, regularly participated in brawls with anti -fascists. In February 2017, Martin Zelner, according to him, was attacked by a group of anti -fascists in the Vienna Metro - he used a pepper balcony against them, after which the Vienna police forbade him to wear weapons.

It is not surprising that the emergence of “120 decibels” perceived the identities with enthusiasm. Yes, and the girls themselves do not hide a certain relationship with a ultra -right movement.

“Some 120 decibel activists are associated with the movement of identityists, which also opposes the uncontrolled stream of migration,” the newly participant in the video, which was presented as Alina, confirmed the correspondent. - But in “120 decibels” we adhere to one topic - the growing number of cruel attacks on women committed by migrants. The more migrants from societies where women have fewer rights than men, let go to Europe, the more the number of victims is growing. This is an uncomfortable truth, and it is difficult to speak publicly on such topics. ”

The purpose of the video, according to Alina, was to draw the attention of the public to the "growing fear and a sense of disobedience of women." “We say for many: for our friends, mothers, sisters. Sometimes a few votes are enough to start a large campaign, and this is the goal of “120 decibels,” says Alina. According to the girl, the new movement plans the following promotions, but she cannot disclose their details yet.

Participants of “120 decibels” contrast themselves with the #Metoo movement. It was this hashtag, to which many women supplied their stories about the sexual violence experienced on social networks, that became a symbol of the struggle for their rights.

“Metoo may exaggerate some things,” says another member of the video, Ariana, in an interview with the American blogger Brittani Pettibone. - They say that even a hooting or just a compliment is violence against a woman. This is absolutely wrong. Many people in the USA do not fully know what level this violence has reached. ”

And at this point - that the migrants are to blame for violence - the “daughter of Europe”, who advocates the rights of women, and the American antifeminist, a large fan of Trump, converge.

This thesis itself, by the way, is quite controversial. A recent study conducted in the Lower Saxony by order of the German government showed: the number of crimes in 2015-2016 increased, and researchers associate this with an increase in the influx of immigrants. But they also note two more nuances. Firstly, most immigrants fall into the category of men aged 14-30 years-which, in general, accounts for the most crimes. Secondly, statistics of the disclosure of crimes committed by immigrants are twice as higher. So European men just have more chances to evade responsibility.
