The news agency of the UNN (Ukrainian national news) has published a comment with the unnamed representative of the press service of the Antonov enterprise. “The investigation is carried out by the commission of the Interstate Aviation Committee, we are waiting for an invitation to participate in this investigation,” the press service said. “Now we cannot comment on the situation in more detail.” The press service confirmed: the An-148 was developed in Ukraine, and built in Russia, at the Voronezh Air Property "Voronezh Joint-Stock Aircraft Building Society" (VASO). “There was a cooperative scheme according to which part of the units was manufactured in Kyiv, part in Voronezh, and the final assembly was in Voronezh.”

In 2009, the Antonov ANTK, that is, the design bureau, was united with the Kyiv Aviant Plant, located in the neighborhood, in a single state enterprise. But Aviant was mired in debt and did not have the opportunity to massively build planes. So far, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict has not begun, the KB provided a serial production of its developments due to cooperation with Russian enterprises, in particular, with Voronezh VASO. Since the annexation of Crimea and with the beginning of the hostilities in the Donbass, cooperation has fallen to the decline, but it was not completely interrupted.

On June 25, 2017, the RNS (Rambler News Service) agency, referring to a high-ranking source at Rostec, reported that Russia was stopping the production of an An-148 regional passenger aircraft under the Ukrainian license. “Unfortunately, the policy was stronger than the mind and the previously formed regime of relations. In Voronezh, they finish the last couple of cars, and then the fate of the An-148 will not develop in Russia, ”said the representative of the corporation. According to the informant, 50 percent of the component aircraft is Russian.

There was also information that CJSC “Vladimir Klimov -Motor Sich Motors” in March 2015 received a contract for the repair of aircraft motor from the Office of the FSB of the Russian Federation in the amount of 4.6 million hryvnias. “Vladimir Klimov - Sich Motor” is half belongs to the Russian Corporation MiG, 20 percent - “Sich motor”, 30 percent to Peter Kononenko, member of the Supervision Council “Motor Sich” and the director of the Moscow representative office of the enterprise.
