Irkutsk: plant workers went to the rally in defense of the enterprise

In Irkutsk, employees of the Literal and Mechanical Plant "Rigel-Sib" on Tuesday held a rally against the demolition of auxiliary buildings. Forty employees of the enterprise entered the protest. They demand from the Ministry of Property Relations of the Angara region not to take away the land on which the domestic and storage facilities of the plant are located.

In 2015, the minimum perfection of the Irkutsk region signed a contract for the purchase and sale of the land of the Earth with 7.5 thousand square meters with Rigel Sib. And in the summer of 2017, officials filed a lawsuit in the arbitration court, claiming that the site was sold with violations of the current legislation, and the buildings on this land plot are unauthorized. Among the illegal buildings are a hostel, a dining room, auxiliary warehouse, but the most important thing is a boiler room that heats all the facilities of the plant.

“Unfortunately, the leadership is considering the closure of the plant, since our production is energy -consuming and energy -intensive. And in Siberia, you know, problems with heat and electricity. Therefore, our leadership will not be able to quickly solve the issue of the new boiler room. And there are a threat of the dismissal of employees. And we are more than one hundred and fifty, and many are also unique professions. In our opinion, a profession is a profession of sanitary, a collector of sanitary. where they will find work if we are the only ones behind the Urals and to the Far East, who is engaged in the production of plumbing? " - says a rally participant Sergey Akafyev.

By conducting a rally, the factory employees wanted to attract the attention of the public and the minimum perfection of the region to their problems. They are waiting for the court’s lawsuit in the lawsuit of the ministry to the owner of the plant and hopes that the authorities will change their position. The next meeting is scheduled for February 19.

Rigel-Sib foundry and mechanical plants were opened in Irkutsk in 2000. This is the only enterprise producing faucets and cranes in the east of the country.
