On February 13, at the age of 84, Prince Consort Henrik, husband of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, died.
“His Royal Highness Prince Henrik died peacefully in his sleep on 13 February at 11:18 am at Fredensborg Palace. Her Majesty the Queen and two sons were by his side,” according to the website of the royal house.
Henrik was hospitalized with a lung infection on 28 January. On February 13, he was moved to the family residence "where he wanted to spend his last minutes," according to ABCNews .
