The Arkhangelsk Regional Court overturned the decision to fine Mikhail Listov for publishing on VKontakte a photograph from the 1945 Victory Day parade from a history textbook, according to the portal 29.ru on Thursday, February 15

Thus, the court agreed with the arguments of Listov's defense that the photograph of Soviet soldiers at the 1945 Victory Parade with German banners is not propaganda of Nazism.

Earlier, the Isakogorsky District Court fined Listov 1,000 rubles. for posting a photo from the Victory parade on the social network, which is often used in history books. According to the defendant, he attracted law enforcement agencies because he is a supporter of Alexei Navalny and works as a volunteer at his headquarters. The man said that both of his grandfathers died in the war in 1941 and he posted a picture on the eve of May 9 to remind subscribers about military events.

Let us add that a bill was submitted to the State Duma on changing the norms on propaganda of Nazism in order to exclude cases like the one that happened with Listov.
