In Moscow, police detained one of the leaders of the protest against renovation, Carey Guggenberger. She herself reported this in the comments to someone else’s post on Facebook.
Guggenberger was taken to the Savelovsky police department. Law enforcement officers photographed her and took her fingerprints. The police then released Guggenberger, she said, pending clarification of the circumstances.
The reason for the arrest is still unknown.
In April 2017, Carey Guggenberger was beaten by four unknown assailants in the entrance of her own home.
