The FSB came to the Solidarity Foundation because of “teaching children the basics of Islam”

In Moscow, officers from the police, the Federal Security Service, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Emergency Situations came to the Solidarity Charitable Foundation and the Medina Educational Center attached to it. According to the head of the foundation, Lilia Mukhamedyarova, neither the foundation nor the center teaches the basics of Islam.

Law enforcement officers came to the fund at about 11:00. They stated that they were conducting a scheduled inspection and would remain in the building until they received all the required documents. No one is allowed out of the building.

“They say that they came with some supposedly scheduled inspection, but we know that routine inspections are not carried out like this. They came when even the leadership was not there. Therefore, we are now at a loss, because they require some strange explanations from us. We know that we should be given time to prepare documents,” Mukhamedyarova said.

According to the website of the Solidarity Foundation, the organization helps sick children, orphans, the hungry, the disabled and the elderly. In the educational center "Medina" adults and children are taught foreign languages.
