When Sergey Lavrov calls the indictment of the Muller special prosecutor “trepidnaya”, and Russian bloggers zealously stigmatize “the so -called freedom of speech” in America, he deliberately on the wicker, and they - according to ignorance and laziness. They simply did not give themselves the work of getting to know the document. Propaganda is not punishable, at least in the USA. Müller accuses 13 Russian citizens not that they campaigned for Trump and brought discord to American society. And the fact that, engaged in this activity, they committed a number of federal crimes, once: fraud using someone else's identity, banking fraud, fraud using electronic communications, and all this with aggravating circumstances and in conspiracy between themselves and with other persons.
These accusations are not trembling, if only because they went through a large jury - a body with the participation of a judge and jury, establishing the presence of a crime in the case of a crime. Of course, the fault of the accused is still subject to proof during the judicial investigation. This was emphasized , presenting the indictment, First Deputy Minister of Justice of the United States Rod Rosenstain:
Everyone who is charged with a criminal offense is considered innocent until his guilt is confirmed in court. At the process, prosecutors are required to submit reliable evidence proving the guilt of each accused, without any reasonable doubts about the unanimous satisfaction of the jury, consisting of 12 citizens.
Robert Muller has enough evidence. Simultaneously with the indictment presented by Evgeny Prigozhin and his ward, the apparatus of the special prosecutor published documents in which US citizen Richard Pinedo pleads guilty and gives consent to cooperate with justice. Pinedo’s fault is that he sold bank accounts to the accused, open either in his name or to the names of American citizens whose personal data were stolen. Cases when hackers abduct the personal data of millions of people, hacking computer systems of banks and retail chains, everyone is in hearing. These data are then sold via the Internet. Their buying and resale abroad was engaged in Pinedo Auction Essistance. Pinedo’s lawyer claims that his client was not interested in either the personalities of buyers or their motives, so his complicity in the conspiracy of Russian trolls was “involuntary”. But he, apparently, had a database or at least part of it, thanks to which the special prosecutor established the details of bank accounts opened by fraudulently. Using the same stolen data, the accused received a driver’s license, opened accounts in the PayPal electronic payments system and were recorded on social networks.
Apparently, the conspirators have been under the supervision of the FBI for some time. In any case, Müller quotes electronic correspondence between them since 2014. And in September 2017, the accused Irina Podkolzina, who wrote on social networks on behalf of the Americans, informed her relative: "We have a slight crisis at work here: the FBI (this is not a joke). So we and my colleagues now notice traces."
For the above crimes, the American legislation provides for long terms of imprisonment, fines and confiscation of property, which was used to commit crimes. For Pinedo, the charge will ask for 15 years in prison and a fine of 250 thousand dollars.
Why does Müller set out the actions of Prigozhinsky "troll factory" in detail if they are not related to the charges? There are interesting comments on lawyers on this occasion. One of them writes like this:
Müller chose his targets based on the fact that they will never appear before the court, will never dispute the charges and how Russian citizens cannot be arrested and extradited.
In other words, the special prosecutor is not going to prove anything, so all this is a “trep have.”
Here is another similar opinion :
Although the “official” purpose of this indictment is criminal prosecution for violations of American law, it also has another task - to inform American society and its representatives. We will be frank: we will never see any of the accused Russians in court. Russia will not give them out, and it is pointless to wait for this. Given this reality, the indictment contains so many details precisely because they will never be presented to the court. It is written in order to present a full report on well -known facts .
That is, the conclusion approved by the Big Jury is not a legal document, but journalism.
But Robert Müller has never been engaged in journalism. He investigated and punished organized crime (in his track record, the defeat of the mafia family of Gambino), official and corporate crimes. It as a prosecutor should not stop the issue of the probability of extradition. A lengthy description of the actions of the accused is a presentation of the motives of the crime and proof of the presence of a conspiracy between them. There is nothing new in the facts themselves - we already know them from the press. But in combination with criminal charges, they constitute a convincing narrative that is quite suitable for the final speech of the prosecutor in court.
By the way, I remind you that one of the very first (and most detailed) investigations of the Elections-2016 operation was published on October 17 last year of RBC. His correspondents claimed from the words of the "trolls" themselves that it all started with an innocent draw. In the spring of 2015, the factory staff through Facebook for several days in a row called the residents of New York to distribute free hotdogs, and then, pressing on a laugh, observed in real time, as people came in the appointed place, peeled off, checked with a smartphone, whether they came there, and left with a disappointed look. “Trolls” say that it was “pure fan water”, but, apparently, someone realized that serious potential was lurking in the draw.
There is not a word about the conspiracy between Trump and the Kremlin in the Müller document. For this reason, the US president is now tired of repeating that the special prosecutor “proves” his indictment that there was no collusion. But one of the other does not follow. In conclusion, nothing is said about the hacking of the server of the Democratic Party, but this does not mean that no one hacked the server. Everything has its time. Müller has not yet put an end to the investigation.
