On the morning of February 19, unknown people were waiting for Oleg Maksakov at the entrance of his house. Two men with shreds with scarves were the first to notice the activist's wife, who came out of the apartment. When Maksakov himself appeared, he was beaten in silence, striking mainly in the face. After beating, the opposition remained conscious and was able to call an ambulance. Now he is in the Alexander Hospital.
The attack on Oleg Maksakov is already a fifth similar incident that has occurred in St. Petersburg since the fall of last year. Recall, on October 25, at the entrance of the house, a participant in the “Solidarity” movement Vladimir Shipitsin was beaten . On December 27, the attack was committed on a permanent participant in the protests by Vladimir Ivanyutenko - he was hit by a stamper, and then the liver and spleen were pierced with a hunting knife. On January 28, human rights activist Dinar Idrisov, who received a concussion and multiple bruises throughout the body, became the victim of unknown people. Finally, in the last days of January, the body of a 53-year-old activist Konstantin Sinitsin was found in the Kirov district-according to the police, the cause of his death was a household conflict.
Cases of attack in St. Petersburg are united not only by a similar place of action (entrance to the house or near it) and the general political views of the victims, but also that information about future victims was laid out in the VKontakte group “Gallery of Unique People” - the personal data of the opposition, including their home addresses, are published almost daily. So, “orientation” on Oleg Maksakov appeared in the community tape on October 22. Previously, the beaten Vladimir Shipitsin and Vladimir Ivantyenko appeared here. The editorial offices of "New" is known that this group on social networks is far from the only one with a similar content.

Then, according to the “New” information, the personal data of the victims (passport number, TIN, bank card numbers, addresses of places of residence, photography) were published on the website http://whoiswhos.me (now unavailable), the existence of which the media was associated with the activities of the troll factory.
