In Bryansk, the police came to the home of Alexei Sidorin, a volunteer at the local strike headquarters of Alexei Navalny. He himself informed OVD-Info about this.
The law enforcement officers did not have a summons with them, the presentation of which would allow them to open the door. Despite this, they demanded a meeting with the activist and began to put pressure on his friend, who rents this apartment - the police called the owner of the apartment. Police officers also accused Sidorin of "pre-election extremism."
As a result, the activist had to open the door for them. Law enforcers said that after he familiarizes himself with the materials of the administrative case, the volunteer will be taken to the police department.
UPD: Police Major Ukhov later arrived at the apartment. He asked Sidorin about the banners with the inscription “Putin is a thief!”, which are hung in some districts of the city – the major was interested in whether the activist was involved in their production and distribution.
In addition, Sidorin was asked about his political views, why he decided to become a volunteer at Navalny's headquarters. The activist refused to testify under Art. 51 of the Constitution, after which the police left the apartment.
